Hilary Morman is a staff attorney with the Los Angeles Innocence Project. Hilary’s work focuses on freeing the wrongfully convicted and uncovering the wrongs committed before, during, and after an incarcerated person’s trial, specifically in regard to high risk cases involving official misconduct and/or eyewitness identifications. In addition to her work as a staff attorney, Hilary works with the California Innocence Coalition to affect legislation that allows for a fairer and more just criminal legal system in California.
Hilary is a graduate of Loyola Law School, where she earned the LLS Outstanding Clinic Student Award for her work at the Loyola Project for the Innocent. In 2020, she was granted a Post-Graduate Fellowship in Public Interest Law to continue her work with LPI. Hilary also interned with the Independent Juvenile Defender Program (IJDP), which oversees a panel of independent attorneys who represent indigent youth facing criminal charges in juvenile court. Hilary holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
