Ayesha Hussain is a staff attorney at the Los Angeles Innocence Project. She previously worked at the Loyola Project for the Innocent, both as a clinical student and a post-graduate fellow.

Ayesha's work focuses on wrongful conviction cases where DNA evidence could have exonerating results and is responsible for all aspects of the Project’s work on cases involving potentially exonerating DNA evidence.

Ayesha is a graduate of Loyola Law School. Prior to joining LAIP, Ayesha worked at various civil rights, housing, and immigration firms and organizations. Ayesha is also a certified Islamic Scholar and serves as a professor, lecturer, and counselor for the Southern California Muslim communities.
